These
Written Tests comprises of three sections and are based upon the PCO old Examination System.
Section 1 - Points.This section consists of multiple-choice questions
involving points, (places of interest). You are asked to choose the correct
location from a choice of three alternatives. Each correct answer will give
you two percent towards your final mark. There are ten questions.
Section 2 - Blue Book. This section consists of multiple-choice questions involving Blue Book runs. You are asked to identify from three options, the correct route from e.g. Manor House Station to Gibson Square. Each correct answer will give you five percent towards your final mark. There are six questions.
Section
3 - Map. The last section is based upon a blank map. On the map you are
expected to place eight points (places of interest) as near to their actual
location as you can, and to colour two roads along their length. Each correct
answer will give you five percent towards your final mark.
The Current Written Test 1st self assessment
comprises of two sections
Section 1 - Write out the correct bluebook route for 5 different runs.
This section will account for 40% of your mark. 8% for each correct run.
Section 2 - Place 2 points and colour 1 road upon 10 different maps. These will be based upon the start and finish 1/4 mile radius maps of each of the 5 runs tested
This section will account for 60% of your mark. 2% for each point placed or road marked. Points need only to be placed approximately to count.
This test is marked yourself and does not count towards anything.
The Current Written Test after 320 runs have been completed comprises of two sections
Section 1 - Write out the correct bluebook route for 5 different runs.
This section will account for 40% of your mark. 8% for each correct run.
Section 2 - Place 4 points and colour 2 roads upon 5 different maps. These will be based on the start or finish 1/4 mile radius map of each of the 5 runs tested.
This section will account for 60% of your mark. 2% for each point placed or road marked. Points need only to be placed approximately to count.
You require 60% to pass.
